Providing external NEBS alarming capability for telecommunication applications, the B024-682 alarm card complies with the PICMG 2.9 R1.0 System Management spec and works with PICMG 2.9-compliant CPUs. These include the Sun CP2000 series cPCI system controllers. The card provides three external NEBS alarm relays controlled by IPMI commands, a watchdog timer, and on-board voltage sensing for IPMB_PWR and battery. It also generates 5V power for IPMB and provides charging for an optional rechargeable battery.
