Offered in a 10-lead MSOP, the SSM2167 low-voltage microphone pre-amplifier provides dynamically adjusted gain to maintain a set compression characteristic. Operating from supplies as low as 3V and drawing under 132 nA in shutdown mode, the device also contains a limiter to eliminate signal overload and a noise gate to eliminate background noise and hum. Available in two versions, the SSM2167-1 has 18 dB of fixed gain and the SSM2167-2 provides 8 dB of fixed gain. Both operate over the extended industrial temperature range of -40ûC to 85ûC.
