Suitable for use in computer, telecomm/datacomm, and other pc board-containing systems, the cPCI-E2 Series of ejectors uses a new locking mechanism with a simple pushbutton release to assure easy disengaging and positive locking of boards. The locking mechanism uses an integral, plasatic leaf spring to reportedly deliver a more economical locking ejector assembly than assemblies using metallic springs. The ergonomically designed pushbutton is also designed to eliminate accidental disengagement. The IEEE 1101.10- and PICMG 2.0-compliant CompactPCI ejectors have a durable design, are capable of withstanding a disengage- ment force of over 60 lb., and can be supplied with hot-swap micro-switches. The cPCI-E2 ejectors cost $2.40 each in production quantities. BIVAR INC., Irvine, CA. (800) 772-2377.
