SBC Delivers Wealth Of Functionality To Defense/Aerospace Designs

Designed for use in rugged military and aerospace applications, the SVME/DMV-181 single-board computer (SBC) provides a myriad functions and I/Os. Using a PowerPC 7410 processor operating at 500 MHz, the board supports up to 1 GB of ECC RAM and 2 MB of L2 cache. In addition to dual 10/100 Mb Ethernet ports, six serial ports, and two USB ports, a 16-bit discrete I/O port is included, configurable so that each bit can be an input or output and single-ended or differential RS-422.Unique to the SBC is the Galileo Discovery bridge chip that provides two independent, 64-bit PCI buses, an 800 MB/s main-memory bandwidth, and two additional serial ports.
