Offered as an alternative to larger wirewound components, the SC3 series surface-mount, thick-film chip resistors claim 75% less board space. The components are terminated on the long side, giving them what is said to be a unique reverse geometry. Rated for 3W at 70ûC, resistance values range from 1½ to 350½ with tolerances down to ±1% and TCRs to ±100 ppm/ûC. Other features include a temperature range from -55ûC to 150ûC and inductance is less than 3 nH. Price is approximately $0.40 each/10,000 with delivery times from five to six weeks.
