Made of aluminum, the 503 Series of lightweight (about 16 lb.), industrial-strength chassis offers front access to peripherals and fans, single-tool, single-screw access to boards, and configurable, field-replaceable rear knockout panels that eliminate I/O sub-plates. The enclosures also feature three horizontal, half-height peripheral bays (5.25'' or 3.5'' wide), floppy and internal drive bays, a10-slot ISA or PCI/ISA passive backplane, a positive pressure cooling subsystem, and a 300W switch-selectable or 320W autoranging 90-264 Vac PS/2 power supply. A 250W hot-swappable supply is optional. Pricing of the rack-mount/benchtop enclosures starts at $695.
