The Ultra5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive for single-axis motion applications consists of an integrated digital motion controller and servo drive. For powerful, flexible performance, the new intelligent positioning drive integrates a high-speed digital signal processor (DSP), standard C programming language interface, and on-board I/O and communication capabilities. The drive allows the user to integrate pre-assembled motion functions into their application program, or write custom algorithms to tailor the application to their needs. For stand-alone use in many single-axis applications, the drive incorporates digital and analog I/O on the motion controller.
