Targeting low-power multimedia and networking applications, the SAM-2104 StrongARM demo kit supports the SA-1110 mini-BGA, 256-pin processor module operating at 206 MHz. Measuring just 3" x 5" x 0.8", the board packs 32 MB of SDRAM and a compact flash Type II socket. A USB port supports half-duplex transfers up to 12 Mb/s and a serial-port UART delivers 230 kb/s with TTL I/O. The board comes with a plug-in module that provides audio and Ethernet functions. A typical configuration of the kit includes a Sharp LMV31 LCD panel, with an add-on available to aid users in selecting the StrongARM features necessary for an application.
