BNC Connectors Raise Density Bar

March 1, 2002

Said to offer a 40% greater connector density in telecomm systems, the 250 M-BNC right-angle, miniature pc board-mount BNC connectors are matched to telecomm industry-standard installation tools. The new connector series requires no retooling and promises true 75½ impedance throughout. Other features include fully enclosed beryllium-copper spring fingers, 0.0005" thick gold-plated beryllium contacts with plating weep holes, a nail-head feature with tapered lead-in for the center wire, and positive tactile feedback when engaging with the dielectric. In addition, the BNC's unique ferrule design with a tapered lead end ensures proper braid positioning and high cable retention. TROMPETER ELECTRONICS, Westlake Village, CA. (800) 982-2629.
