Sporting a unique ergonomic design, the Sprint smart card enclosures are suited for point-of-sale systems, computer peripherals, and medical and instrumentation products. A slot aperture is provided at the front for inserting the card into the reader and another aperture at the rear provides enough clearance for a board-mounted, 9-pin D-sub connector for data and power. Another version of the case is available without apertures for applications such as medical equipment and instrumentation. Both enclosure types are molded in ABS (UL 94 HB) and are available in two colors: off-white and black. Mounting pillars are provided in both the top and base, and assembly is via two self-tapping screws. External case dimensions are 4.49" x 2.91" x 0.97". Prices start at $5.30 each in quantity.
