The RSF RAST 5 PS Series connectors provides fast and easy positive locking to .250" by .032" tabs found on numerous devices such as controls, switches and printed circuit boards. At the heart the system is the newly designed low insertion force PS contact. A special contact locking spring engages with the hole in .250" tabs. This locking action prevents accidental unmating and makes its use in high-vibration environments a real plus, the company says. Applications for the series cross nearly all industries using .250" by .032" tabs. This includes large and small appliances, HVAC, lawn and garden equipment, vending and gaming machines, and lighting and security systems. The RSF RAST 5 housings are designed in accordance with the European RAST 5 specifications for spacing, keying, and polarization. Housings range from two to 12 key positions and are molded from UL94V-0 rated PA66 nylon. Temperature range of the series is from -40¡C to +105¡C. The PS low insertion force contact is rated at 15A ac/dc at 250V ac/dc. JST CORP., Waukegan, IL. (800) 947-1110.
