The SBC-F8845V2L single board computer incorporates the Intel advanced 845D Chipset Memory Controller hub and supports the 478-pin Intel Pentium 4 processors of 1.3 GHz to 2.2 GHz and beyond for the telecom and instrumentation industries. The SBC, the first in the Tornado series, has a 400 MHz or 533 MHz front side bus speed (jumper selectable), 256K cache on CPU and up to 2 GB of DDRAM support. An ATI Rage 128 Pro controller has 4x AGP and 16 MB memory on board. The Intel 845 core logic chip achieves a current maximum capacity of 2 GB DDRAM via the two 184-pin DIMM slots onboard supporting PC1600 and PC2100 DDR memory. Onboard dual Ethernet ports aggregate bandwidth up to 400 Mb/s while two ports work in full-duplex 100-BaseT. Other features include adaptive load balancing, Fast EtherChannel, and Intel link aggregation. The SBC also incorporates four USB ports, an ICH2 integrated enhanced IDE controller supporting PIO3/4 and Ultra ATA33/66/100 modes, floppy disk controller, PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors. The unit is fully x86 compatible with seven DMA channels and 15 interrupts running all x86 code in native mode. Pricing starts at $636. ARISTA CORP., Fremont, CA. (510) 226-1800.
