A new series of micro SIL reed relays is available with up to a 50W contact rating and is capable of up to 1,000V switching, with up to a 3A carry current. Designed for pick-and-place assembly, the reed relays measure 15.2 mm x 5 mm x 7.2 mm and incorporate 1-Form-A (SPST) contacts. Other features include: a molded construction with an internal magnetic shield providing 1013_ typical insulation resistance; 5V and 12V versions; and optional external EMI shielding. The devices are UL, VDE and EN60950 approved, and are suitable for close placement on PC boards. Pricing for the reed relays starts at $0.96 each, depending on quantity.
