Embedded Linux Camera Is Fully Programmable

Lauded as the market's first fully programmable, embedded Linux camera, the miniHiPerCam employs the ELNIOS operating system and is available in color and monochrome versions. The camera is packaged in a rugged aluminum case that is the same size as a small surveillance camera. Both color and monochrome models employ a CMOS image sensor and provide a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a frame rate of 15 fps or 30 fps. The controller board supports a PowerPC 823 processor operating at a clock speed of 50 MHz. For images and run-time data, 16 MB of memory is available; and 8 MB of flash memory hosts the ELNIOS with an HTTP server and application software.
