Designed for use with 3.3V and 5V bus voltages, the SIL 10 series point-of-load (POL) converters promise efficiencies up to 95% and power densities up to 107 W/in.2. The dc/dc converter series includes eight fixed-output models and one wide-output

Designed for use with 3.3V and 5V bus voltages, the SIL 10 series point-of-load (POL) converters promise efficiencies up to 95% and power densities up to 107 W/in.2. The dc/dc converter series includes eight fixed-output models and one wide-output trim unit. Fixed output models offer outputs of 0.8V, 1V, 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2V, 2.5V and 3.3V while operating with a 3V to 5.5V input. The wide-output trim model requires an input from 4.5V to 5.5V to deliver an adjustable output of 0.8V to 3.6V using a single resistor. All models employ an open-frame, single-board design with industry-standard pinouts. Horizontal and vertical mounting packages measuring 50.8 x 12.7 x 8.1 mm and 50.8 x 7.8 x 12.7 mm, respectively, are available. Other features include a -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range, remote sense and remote on/off functions, no minimum load requirements, and over-temperature, under-voltage, and short-circuit protection. Pricing is $11.90 each/10,000. For more details, call Karen Scheldroup at ARTESYN TECHNOLOGIES INC., Eden Prairie, MN. (952) 392-6538.
