Said to combine the capabilities of four separate I/O boards on a single card, the APC30 for desktop PCI and AcPC730 for CompactPCI applications are designed to perform analog input, analog output, digital I/O and counter/timer functions from a single slot. Analog input functions are handled by 16 differential or 32 single-ended channels with four selectable unipolar or bipolar input ranges of up to 10 Vdc. Analog output functions are taken care of by eight channels with a ±10V signal range. Digital I/O tasks are accommodated by 16 TTL transceivers, with input/output direction selectable on an 8-channel basis. And the cards's 32-bit counter/timer is designed to provide watchdog timer, event counting, pulse measurement, and other functions. Well-suited for data acquisition, monitoring and control and test and measurement applications, the new I/O cards are said to be easy to integrate with Windows 95/98/ME and NT/2000 applications by means of the company's ActiveX (OLE) controls software package.
