The Thin Client system employs what is said to be the industry's smallest motherboard, the Mini-ITX from VIA Technologies. Operating just like a desktop PC, the system also offers power supply, memory and hardware options for embedded applications. An 8V to 30V power management system is included with pushbuttons for power and reset, status LEDs, two compact flash slots, and a watchdog timer. Available options include a 2.5" IDE hard-disk drive, CD-ROM drive, and a metal enclosure. The motherboard comes with a 533-MHz Eden ESP 5000 microprocessor and provides an array of standard I/O interfaces. Single-unit price for the Thin Client is $349.
