To help ease installation, the company's surface-mount, stub-tail, DIP sockets include alignment pins that allow them to placed on the board by hand. The 3A, four-finger BeCu #30 provides two corner alignment pins, power and ground, that permit users to manually place the component. The sockets employ floating contacts that compensate for the effects of unevenly dispensed solder paste. Other features include a high-temperature insulator that can withstand infrared reflow and vapor phase soldering. Price is $1.241 each/1,000 with a delivery time of three weeks.
