Claimed as setting a new standard in low-cost, high-output PCI-bus digital I/O, the PCI-DIO48H-RT 48-bit, digital I/O board is based on STTL emulation of the 82C55 mode 0 and will sink 64 mA or source 15 mA at standard logic levels. The board joins two others in the PCI-DIO family and is compatible with the company's assortment of screw-terminal and interconnection boards and a range of electro-mechanical relay and solid-state I/O module conditioning racks. Software support is by way of InstaCAL, the company's installation and test-application package. The board also supports data-acquisition applications that include SoftWIRE and LabVIEW.
