Reed Relays Debut As Market's Smallest

Heralded as the industry's smallest, true surface-mount, high-frequency reed relay, the 50W CRF series relay measures 8.6 mm x 4.4 mm x 3.4 mm and switches frequencies up to 7 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss and digital pulses with rise

Heralded as the industry's smallest, true surface-mount, high-frequency reed relay, the 50W CRF series relay measures 8.6 mm x 4.4 mm x 3.4 mm and switches frequencies up to 7 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss and digital pulses with rise times of 40 ps or greater. The component exploits a ceramic substrate design with gold plated leads that forwards its internal leads to the circuit board, a technique said to eliminate lead frame skewing and coplanarity issues. For dc-switching chores, the CRR series relay exhibits the same physical dimensions as the CRF. Features common to both include 1 Form A contacts that can switch up to 10W with maximum currents and voltages up to 0.5A and 210V, respectively, and a typical insulation resistance in excess of 1014? with a minimum coil-to-switch isolation of 1.5 kVdc.
