Easing interfacing chores, the PMC481 PMC audio card offers the capability of both front and rear I/Os. Four audio connections can be made via the front panel using 3.5 mm stereo connectors. Optionally, the audio connections can be made via the rear I/O of the PMC481 using the PIM481-J, a PMC I/O Module with four 3.5mm stereo connectors. The PIM481-J is mounted on a rear transition module. Audio interfaces consist of a line input, microphone input, line output, and a speaker output via an on-board stereo amplifier. Other features include a CS4281 CrystalClear PCI audio interface controller, CS4297A CrystalClear, SoundFusion Audio Codec '97, and support for 3.3V and 5V operation.
