The ATCA-715 family of SBCs enters the market as the industry’s first AdvancedTCA form factor boards featuring the Intel Pentium M processor, E7501 chipset and 6300ESB I/O Controller Hub. The single-slot, 8U board is designed for PICMG 3.0 and 3.1 compliant systems and supports IPMI v.1.5. It is well suited for wireless and wireline infrastructure solutions designed for RNC, SGSN or Telco servers, as well as for CO servers. Its Pentium M processor runs at 1.6 GHz and its E7501 chipset has a memory bandwidth of 4.3 GB/second. The board can accommodate four PMC modules with telecom clocking synchronization for additional processing power and/or I/O. As an option, the ATCA-717 is available with a managed, multi-layered 16-port Gigabit Ethernet switch that delivers the flexibility required for routing Gigabit Ethernet interfaces between the base board Control processor, the PMC-based processing or I/O nodes and the AdvancedTCA Base and Fabric interface. The ATCA-715/ATCA-717 SBCs will be available through the company’s Early Access Unit (EAU) program in Q2 with general availability scheduled for Q4. Single-unit pricing starts at $3,940.
