A new dc-dc converter has been designed to meet power conversion requirements in board-level product applications such as data acquisition, telecommunications, and industrial I/O. The ASD30 has an output power of 25W to 30W and accepts two-to-one wide range inputs from 9 to 72 Vdc. In all, 27 models have single, dual and triple outputs from 3.3 to 15 Vdc. All models in the ASD30 series contain continuous short circuit protection, external O/P trim adjustment and on/off control function. An internal input filter eliminates the need for the addition of external components. All models are industry pin out and size compatible. The series is UL and cUL approved. It provides 500 Vdc I/O isolation and will operate over the temperature range of –25°C to +71°C without forced cooling. A black coated copper case with non-conductive base encapsulates the converter. Pricing starts at $33. ASTRODYNE, Taunton, MA. (800) 823-8080.
