A new 0.25W surface-mount power metal strip resistor matches the power rating of larger 1206 size resistors. The WSE0805 resistor combines its 0.25W rating with a resistance range of 10? to 10,000?. Measuring just 2.30 mm x 1.27 mm with a maximum height of 0.64 mm, this surface-mount component can be used in lieu of larger components with equivalent power capability, saving board space. With its high power rating, the WSE0805 is suitable for replacing low-power leaded wire-wound resistors. Applications include voltage amplifier circuits, precision voltage divider circuits, and high-frequency circuits in telecommunications, automotive, industrial instrumentation, consumer electronics, and computing systems. The WSE0805 has a TCR of 15 ppm/°C, a tolerance to 0.1%, and a noise figure of less than -40 dB. Operating temperature is –65°C to +150°C. Pricing is $0.20 each.
