Enclosures Seek Compact Apps

Similar in size to a credit card but deep enough to accept a printed circuit board populated with surface-mount components, the POCKET-CARD enclosures are fully finished and ready for fitting the electronics. The cases measure 3.37” x 2.13” x 0.39”. Applications include remote controls, medical alert devices, computer peripherals and exposure level monitors. The top molding is recessed for fitting a membrane keypad or product label and can be ordered with a pre-milled slot for the keypad ribbon cable. An option with an aperture at one end for an infrared LED is also available. Molded in off-white or black ABS (UL 94 HB), they are assembled by a single self-tapping screw, or they can be glued together to avoid tampering. Pricing starts at $3 each.
