Meeting NEMA 23 requirements, the IMDE 23 motor integrates a 3A, micro-stepping driver and encoder and operates from a 15 to 48 Vdc supply. Step resolutions range from 0.5 step to 256x and, depending on stack size, the motor is capable of producing up to 294 oz-in of holding torque. Other features include four damping modes, optically isolated step, direction, and disable/enable inputs, and over-temperature protection. The on-board encoder is capable of tracking from 32 to 1,250 CPR and includes dual-channel quadrature TTL square-wave single-ended outputs with an optional index available. The encoder also features position correction capabilities. RMS TECHNOLOGIES INC., Carson City, NV. (877) 301-3609.
