The cPCI-6841/6842 6U Compact PCI boards are the newest members of the company’s cPCI-6840 family. The family is based on Intel’s Pentium M with the 855GME MCH and two different I/O controller hubs. In addition, Intel’s ICH packs a plethora of peripherals including Serial ATA 150, PATA, USB 2.0, watchdog timer, and serial port. The cPCI-6841 includes one 32-bit/33-MHz PMC site, an on-board 2.5” HDD drive bay, CompactFlash socket and support for two DDR 333 SO-DIMMs (2 GB max.) with optional ECC. Front panel I/O includes VGA port, USB port, keyboard/mouse ports, two GbE ports and a COM port. The cPCI-6842 has all the features of the 6841, but adds a COM port, USB port and LPT port.
