Exploiting proven design techniques, the EMA212 emerges as what could be the market's first ac/dc switching supply to deliver over 200W across the full universal ac-input range in an industry-standard package measuring 3" x 5" and 1.34" high. This translates into a power density of 10.55 W/in3. The supply specifies efficiency over 90% at full load and requires just 12 cfm of airflow for full power operation up to 50°C ambient. It will operate in temperatures up to 70°C ambient with de-rating, eliminating the need for a wind tunnel. Main outputs are either 12 or 48 Vdc with a 5V/100-mA standby output and a 12V/1A output for a fan also on board. Other features include a 100-kHz switching frequency. Sampling now, price is $82 each/1,000. XP POWER, Littleton, MA. (978) 287-7260
