EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. - A trio of I/O modules for use with the company's FPGA-based PMCs allow users to choose the appropriate front-end processing to their application from a dual-channel 105 Msample/s analog input, dual- channel 210 Msample/s analog output, or a RS-485 module. All three I/O modules integrate into a PMC-FPGA03, PMC-FPGA05 or DEV-FPGA05 card that feature either a Xilinx Virtex-II Pro or VirtexTM-5 FPGA and memory banks directly connected to the FPGA. The ADC-MOD1 module provides a dual-channel, 105-Mample/s 14-bit analog front end and includes a 105-MHz sample clock plus the ability to accept an external reference and trigger input. Four pairs of LVDS I/O are on board for general-purpose use. A dual-channel, 210-Msample/s 14-bit analog output module, the DAC-MOD1 module adds provision for an external clock source, trigger input, and general LVDS I/O signals, plus 210-MHz oscillator. A third module, the RS485-MOD2 is a 33-channel, RS-485/-422 transceiver. All channels are programmable as inputs or outputs. For additional information, call VMETRO INC., Houston, TX.
