Built for industrial chores, the M-946 microATX motherboard supports an Intel Core2 Duo processor with a front side bus handling speeds of 533 MHz, 800 MHz, and 1.066 GHz, reportedly the fastest speed currently available. Combined with dual-channel DDR2 memory at 533/667 MHz, the board provides all the necessary bandwidth for high-speed SMT inspection systems, automation, and industrial-control applications. For graphics, it supports resolutions up to 1,600 x 1,200 DVI to 1,200 x 900 LVDS and includes a x16 PCI Express expansion slot for graphics add-in cards. Communication interfaces include two or one Gigabit Ethernet controllers, eight USB 2.0 ports, and support for serial, parallel, and GPIO. The board is available in two configurations: the M-946 with single Gigabit Ethernet and the M-946L with dual Gigabit Ethernet. Prices are $445 and $495 each, respectively.
