Debuting as the company's first digitizer from the Acqiris product line, the 8-bit, dual-channel DP1400 reports extremely low-power consumption and employs a unique simultaneous multi-buffer acquisition and readout (SAR) mode that accelerates measurement throughput. Offered in a standard short PCI card format, the board specifies a power consumption of less than 15W. Useable in all standard PCI bus slots, long or short, it handles a variety of test applications including semiconductor, hard-disk drive, and industrial non-destructive testing. With the optional SAR mode, on-board memory separates into multiple buffers. As data is acquired into one buffer, another can be read out through the 32-bit/66-MHz PCI at rates to 250 MB/s. In applications where the total rate of the acquisition is below PCI data bandwidth, a DP1400 with SAR mode can continuously acquire missing zero events. Other features include an analog front-end mezzanine containing signal conditioning and a/d converters, a real-time sampling rate of 1 Gsamples/s per channel or 2 Gsamples/s in single channel mode, and 256 Kpoints of memory. The digitizer comes with application code examples for MATLAB, C++, VisualBasic, LabView, and LabWindows. Software support includes Windows, Linux, LabView, and VxWorks. Pricing starts at $9,490.
