Enlisting Freescale's 667-MHz MPC8555E PowerQUICC III processor, the PMC-110 CryptoNet security module provides a firewall, intrusion detection, NAT, IPSec and cryptography engines, plus dual GbE (10/100/1000) ports. Fashioned for rugged embedded designs, the PMC is available in both air-cooled and conduction-cooled versions and supports VME, VPX, CompactPCI, and other host boards with a PMC site. The module also includes 256 MB of DDR1 memory with ECC, 256 MB of boot flash, one RS-232 port, a COP interface, one I2C interface, and a 64-bit/66-MHz PCI bus. Teaming with the company’s VPX6-684 FireBlade II, the PMC creates a unified-threat management router that provides perimeter defense via an ICSA certified firewall, Access Control List filtering, NAT, a Virtual Private Network with tunneling support (IPSec/L2TP), IPv6 ESP/AH payloads, and encryption/decryption/authentication support. Pricing for the PMC-110 CryptoNet starts at $2,518. For more details, call Jerri-Lynne Charbonneau at CURTISS-WRIGHT CONTROLS EMBEDDED COMPUTING, Leesburg, VA. (613) 254-5112.
