High-Density Matrix Module Packs Automatic Surge Protection

Bolstering the 34980A multifunction switch/measure unit for higher switching densities, two additional matrix modules, the 34934A 512 and 34939A 64, come on board. The 34934A 512 cross-point reed matrix features high-density switching with low-level signal capability and a patent-pending automatic surge protection upon switch closure. The module also includes a row-disconnect feature for minimizing capacitance on multi-module configurations. The 34939A 64-channel Form A switch offers high-density SPST switching for device actuation and switching loads or power supplies. Both modules, together with 19 existing modules, comprise a family of eight-slot mainframe switches with built-in DMM. The switches provide 11 measurement functions and mix-and-match, plug-in modules that allow users to create custom configurations. Average configuration price for the matrix modules is $7,863.
