For deployment with the company’s established data-acquisition products, the DNx-AI-254 LVDT/RVDT interface boards are available in two models: one for use with the PowerDNA Cube and another for mounting in a PowerDNR RACKtangle chassis. Multiple operating modes ensure compatibility with all standard sensor wiring and excitation configurations, making the boards suitable for a wide range of linear and rotational applications. Each board provides four, isolated LVDT and RVDT channels with independent ADCs. Each channel offers a 16-bit resolution, 0.1% accuracy, and scan rates up to 500 Hz. A notable feature of both boards is their ability to operate either as an LVDT/RVDT input interface or as a simulation output device on a per channel basis. Each channel is configurable as an LVDT/RVDT input interface with either internal or external excitation or an LVDT/RVDT simulator output with external excitation. A comprehensive software suite offers support under Windows, Linux, and VxWorks operating systems and C, C#, and VB programming languages. Application packages for LabVIEW, MATLAB, and DaisyLAB are also on tap. Available mid September, starting prices for the DNA-AI-254 (PowerDNA Cube) and DNR-AI-254 (RACKtangle chassis) are $2,800 and $2,950, respectively. UNITED ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES INC., Walpole, MA.
