Cable-To-Board Connector Handles 20A

Designed for low-profile, power-distribution units, the company’s ET connector handles up to 20A of current for cable to printed-circuit board applications. The connector offers a unique feature of integrated coding contacts, which allows designing different electronic functions such as sense and enable with activation on full insertion of the cable connector. It employs crimp contacts from the company’s Standard Power Timer range with current ratings of 20A with a 2.5 mm x 2.5 cable. Contacts accepting cable with a cross-sectional area of 4 mm x 4 mm with a 35A rating are in the works. A right-angle, pick-n-place PCB-mount version standing less than 8 mm above the PCB is currently available and a vertical-mount version is currently in development with production samples arriving in November.
