In a compact 3U, 16-slot rack-mountable chassis, the DSC-2300 Series signal-conditioning systems are programmable and network-centric with a smart Ethernet controller to allow integration within any data-acquisition environment. The series processes inputs from a range of sensors, supporting up to 32 sensor channels; two channels per slot. Ease-of-use features include network programmability, auto zero and balance, calibration, a plug-in mezzanine filter board for each channel, and customization via a programmer interface. The systems currently support four plug-in signal-conditioning modules that are fully configurable and programmable for gain, filter, cut-off frequencies, and calibration. The DSC-2320 module targets static strain applications and provides a two-channel voltage-excitation bridge amplifier while the DSC-2325 module handles dynamic strain applications with a two-channel current-excitation bridge amplifier. The DSC-2330/31 module supports charge/ICP and voltage inputs. Features shared by all models include two programmable levels of over-range detection, reference bus inputs, channel-output monitors, and two buffered analog outputs. Windows-based software includes an API, demo applications, and a GUI. GE FANUC INTELLIGENT PLATFORMS, Charlottesville, VA. (434) 978-5000.
