Described as the smallest FPC connector available, the company’s latest SMT ZIF connector provides a 0.25-mm pitch, which reportedly saves up to 40% of board space when compared to similar 0.3-mm pitch connectors. Available with 21 to 39 circuits, the connector includes spring features on the terminals, ensuring secure electrical contact even when pulling the cable up or down after actuation. The terminal design also provides full ZIF functionality with no contact made between the cable and connector during insertion. An actuator-to-housing friction lock provides additional cable retention and an audible click when mating. For more information, MOLEX INC., Lisle, IL. (800) 786-6539.
