The S245112PT directional and the S24517PT sector dual-band external MIMO antennas promise to enhance the latest generation of WLAN systems and make use of MIMO technology in which multiple wireless transmitters and receivers operate simultaneously. Reportedly, the latest N generation of 802.11 technology provides much greater data throughput rates than the previous 802.11a/b/g standards. Employing proprietary RF optimization tools, the antennas reside in low-profile UV-resistant polycarbonate weatherproof radome housings. Both models have three MIMO antenna elements, each of which interfaces to the WLAN Access Point via a low-loss, coax pigtail. Both antennas operate over a temperature range of -30°C to +65°C, incorporate polarization diversity that increases data throughput in multipath environments, and hold IP-67 water and dust seal ratings. Additionally, the RoHS-compliant antennas are available with a choice of connector and board configurations as well as custom versions to fit a variety of OEM housings.
