The PicoLog 1216 and PicoLog 1012 voltage data loggers feature multiple independently software-configurable channels, ranges, scaling, and control outputs. The devices use an external terminal board to facilitate connections and custom front-end circuitry. The PicoLog 1216 has 16 unipolar analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, four configurable digital outputs, and one PWM control output. The PicoLab 1012 has 12 unipolar inputs, 10-bit resolution, and two configurable digital outputs. Both loggers collect data at up to 1 Msample/s and connect to a PC’s USB port without requiring an external power supply. They have a current-limited excitation output and are compatible with Windows XP and Vista (32- and 64-bit). The included PicoLog data-logging software has an SDK for customized programming. Three sampling modes meet most data logging needs: real-time continuous, streaming, and block mode. Streaming mode allows channel voltage readings to be logged continuously at 1 ksample/s on any number of channels, while real-time continuous mode provides averaged, time-accurate readings with automatic measurements available in PicoLog. Block mode captures at the full 1-Msample/s sample rate of the logger for the duration of the 8-ksample buffer. The PicoLog 1216 costs $240, and the PicoLog 1012 is $155. SAELIG CO., Pittsford, NY.
