The latest addition to a portfolio of snap-action switches is the TS2 series of subminiature switches featuring surface-mount termination. The small package size is designed for higher reliability and the switch’s unique SMT design will be useful in many board-level applications. The series has a contact rating of 0.1 A at 125 V ac or 48 V dc and a contact resistance of 300 mO (initial maximum) at 5 V dc. Insulation resistance is 100 MO minimum at 500 V dc, and dielectric strength is 1000 V for 1 min. The devices have a maximum bounce of 5 ms. They are rated for a minimum of 3 million cycles. Operating temperature range is ?25°C to 85°. Among the applications for the TS series snap-action switches are the appliance and white goods markets, timing controls, testing and instrumentation, and gaming and vending machines.
