The C160 6U VME single-board computer (SBC) incorporates Intel’s latest T7500 low-power, high-performance Merom Core 2 Duo dual-core processors. The single-slot SBC comes in two versions, a 2.2-GHz model for the highest performance and the 1.67-GHz version, which draws only 25 W. Intel’s Virtualization Technology allows the board to run different applications simultaneously using multiple virtual partitions. A custom metal thermal management frame supporting an array of internal stiffeners offers increased resistance to high shock and vibration, making the C160 well-suited for rugged and harsh military environments. The board provides 2eSST and 2eVME functionality as well as VME and PCI legacy support via a Tundra Tsi148 bridge. Large memory arrays include up to 2 Gbytes of DDR2 SDRAM operating at 667 MHz and up to 8 Gbytes of onboard flash disk (NAND flash) with IDE controller. A solid-state disk with up to 16 Gbytes of memory provides additional non-volatile mass storage for local program and file storage. OEM pricing for the C160 starts at $6050. Delivery is from stock to 20 weeks. AITECH DEFENSE SYSTEMS INC., Chatsworth, CA. (888) 248-3248.
