A rugged, small-form-factor 10 Gigabit Ethernet I/O connector from TE Connectivity features snap-crimp contacts that simplify termination and field repairs. The CeeLok FAS-T connector’s backshell with 360° shielding reduces weight and cost, while enhancing system performance. Despite the small form factor (0.750-in. shell), it maintains high signal integrity thanks to a patented T-shaped pin pattern, which provides noise cancellation and decoupling to minimize crosstalk. The 100-Ω impedance connector is compatible with Cat5e, Cat6a, and other protocols ranging from 90-Ω USB 2.0 to 110-Ω IEEE-1394 FireWire. Both cable-applied and printed circuit board varieties are available.
