Quad Processor Board Addresses Complex Apps
For demanding applications such as radar, sonar, image processing, and communications, the G4ADSP 6U VME board supports four Freescale MPC 7448 processors operating at speeds up to 1.4 GHz. It supports up to 2 GB of DDR memory and four Gigabit Ethernet channels. The board also supports the company’s AXIS Advanced Multiprocessor Integrated Software development environment that provides a quick start for application development and system evaluation with a suite of integrated modules for system development, visualization, and deployment. AXISView provides an intuitive GUI for system visualization and productivity tools that promise to reduce time to market. Additionally, AXISLib, VSIPL, and RSPL optimized DSP math and function libraries provide a range of functions for the PowerPC e600/AltiVec platform. Other G4ADSP features include one PCI port to P0, PCI-X to all four nodes and to both PMC sites, four serial ports, support for VxWorks, and five ruggedization levels.
