the FP-GPIO96 unravels as the first digital I/O module compatible with the FeaturePak embedded I/O expansion standard.

Embedded Systems Conference, April 2010 – Providing programmable digital I/O and timing functions for COM baseboards, SBCs, and custom designs, the FP-GPIO96 unravels as the first digital I/O module compatible with the FeaturePak embedded I/O expansion standard. It integrates 96 buffered, programmable digital I/O lines with byte-wide and bit-wide port direction control, eight 32-bit counter/timers, four 24-bit PWM circuits with a 0% to 100% duty cycle, and a watchdog timer with system reset capability. The module interfaces to host systems via the FeaturePak host interface’s PCIe interface. Software support consists of a Universal Driver toolkit, which comes with the module at no extra charge. Price for the FP-GPIO96 is $150. DIAMOND SYSTEMS CORP., Mountain View, CA. (800) 367-2104.
