With no increase in power and heat over earlier dual core 3U VPX single-board computers (SBCs), the OpenVPX-compliant SBC312 3U VPX SBC employs an eight-core Freescale QorIQ P4080 processor.

With no increase in power and heat over earlier dual core 3U VPX single-board computers (SBCs), the OpenVPX-compliant SBC312 3U VPX SBC employs an eight-core Freescale QorIQ P4080 processor. The board is available in five air- and conduction-cooled ruggedization levels as well as in a VITA-48 format. It features up to 4 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory, two x4 PCI Express Gen2 links, two 1,000 BaseT ports, two serial ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two SATA ports, and up to eight GPIO ports.
