Setting what its creator is calling a new standard in high-voltage miniaturization, the A Series dc-to-high-voltage-dc converter comes in a package occupying less than one tenth of a cubic inch with a profile of 6.35 mm. Controllable output voltages range from 100V to 6 kV and output power is 1W with 1.5W available as an option. Other features include input-to-output galvanic isolation, a turn-on voltage less than 0.7V, and a MTBF in excess of 1.8-million hours. Additionally, no external components are necessary for operation. EMCO High Voltage Corp. Sutter Creek, CA. (800) 546-3680.
