The company’s latest 40-Gb/s QSFP+ optical transceivers consist of parallel fiber optical modules with four independent optical transmit and receive channels for greater board density. Useable in switches, routers, data centers, and other Ethernet apps, the transceivers dissipate 0.8W of power. Additionally, the QSFP+ MSA- and SFF-8436-compatible transceivers are hot-pluggable and employ a latch mechanism that eases insertion into board-mounted cages.
