A rugged 6U, VPX (VITA 46.1/46.4) single-board computer, the low-power G4V-VPX Viper targets safety critical applications using Freescale’s MPC8548E PowerQUICC III processor with VxWorks 653 RTOS including DO-178B Level A certification artifacts. The board features an extensive I/O complement and delivers 2760 MIPS/1200MHz processing in a low-power VPX form factor ideal for SWaP-C constrained deployed aerospace and military platforms. Features include two PMC sites, Gigabit Ethernet, twelve serial ports, dual MIL-STD-1553, and TTL DIO. Available in both air-cooled and conduction-cooled (-40 to 85° C) versions, the G4V-VPX Viper typically uses 20W of power. CURTISS-WRIGHT CONTROLS ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS, Fairborn, OH. (661) 257-4430.
