Altium Designer 14.2 Arrives With Nearly 100 Enhancements, Fixes

Altium says updates to its Altium Designer for 3D printed-circuit board (PCB) design centered around the use of copper areas on the board. Consequently, users of version 14.2 will experience significantly increased repour speed: Depending on the number and complexity of the polygon pours in a design, repour speeds can accelerate from two to greater than 20 times faster. Other enhancements focused on the PCB Drill Table, indication of disabled PCB Design Rules, schematic support for vector graphics, support for global bookmarks in Smart PDF, and support for Subversion 1.8. Furthermore, the company built an improved and updated DxDesigner from Mentor Graphics. The importer helps designers who are considering the switch to Altium Designer.
