Now in its eleventh generation, the ICAP/4 8.x.11 Build 2641 analog, mixed-signal, and mixed-systems SPICE simulation tool suite adds a number of user-driven features to its former Build 2450. These include the ability to display all operating point labels on the schematic, dedicated cross-probe test points for dc and operating-point analysis, diagram panning via the mouse wheel, the ability to pass parameters through all sub-circuit instances more efficiently, preferred parts bins, and greater waveform processing capabilities in the IntuScope signal-viewing tool. Adding to the IsSpice4 simulation kernel, an enhanced convergence wizard automatically adjusts the simulator to converge on complex switching regulators, designs with dramatic variations in signal transitions, and tough startup conditions common to switch-mode power supplies. Users can also see changes in simulation convergence parameters. Pricing for the suite starts at $249. INTUSOFT, Gardena CA. (310) 329-3295.
